Menopause Cafe

The Menopause cafe takes place the first Sunday of the month and is a FREE drop-in session hosted by Liana Oldham, with a guest speaker to talk and chat informally about all things Menopause.

You can ask questions, share your own experiences, and feel supported so you can get through this challenging time feeling well. Expect information on food, supplements, lifestyle routines, exercises, HRT and more that may improve your well-being.

You can take away a small booklet published by the UK Charity Menopause Support Group UK founded by the #MakingMenopauseMatter movement. The booklet contains FAQ, a ‘symptom checker’ you can take to your GP and help with consultations, information on HRT, and a list of other sources of information.

Places are limited so we would recommend registering in advance.

What’s on this month:

This October, I’m delighted to welcome back guest speaker Nicola Ragon-Paxton from I Love Greens Nutrition.

Nicola is a registered nutritionist and health coach based in Billericay, specialising in women’s health and wellbeing through midlife and beyond.

She’ll be discussing the 4 key pillars of nutrition for Menopause and will share actions you can take with your diet and lifestyle to help:

Reduce hot flushes, brain fog, fatigue and mood changes

Protect your long-term bone, heart and metabolic health

Feel stronger, calmer and more energised

Nicola will also be providing a take-home factsheet full of tips and simple swaps, so you’ll leave with ideas you can put into practice straight away.

Booklets from #makingmenopausematter with a symptom checker and more information on how to navigate through this hormonal change are available and very handy to help on GP consultations. You can also lend a book from my Menopause Library.

The Menopause Café is a free event, but booking is advised so we can set up accordingly. Please book your space via the ‘Events’ page of the humankindcafe.co.uk.

You’ll find us at the back of the café between 10am and midday on October 5th.

See you there!
